Swindon 2 Bracknell 10

Double defeat for the Cats

The Wildcats suffered a disastrous weekend in the English Premier League, losing both of their matches.

Saturday saw them losing to an astonishing 10-2 to Bracknell and although they improved slightly on Sunday they were defeated 4-2 at Guildford in what was their third defeat in four games.

With mixed fortunes the previous week Swindon were up against local rivals the Bracknell Bees.

The game got under way and it wasn't long before Swindon took the lead with a goal from Danilics, the lead lasted for just 2 minutes before Bracknell scored a short handed goal to tie the game.

Neither side could take the lead and the 1st period ended 1-1.

The 2nd period started and the it was Bracknell who took the lead just after the half way point with a goal from ex-Swindon player Ryan Watt.

Swindon were unable to tie the game and it was Bracknell who found the net again to give the visitors a 3-1 lead.

With Swindon heads dropped Bracknell took advantage and extended there lead to 4-1, at this point the Bees were on a high and scored again twice within 2 minutes going into the period break with a convincing 6-1 lead.

Swindon had it all to do as the 3rd period got under way and Foord found the net after 5 minutes giving the home side a glimmer of hope.

6-2 down with 15 minutes of the final period to play Swindon had to step up a gear to try to get something from the game.

Unfortunately it wasn't Swindon's day with some sloppy defending Bracknell scored 4 unanswered goals and the game ended with an easy win for the Bracknell Bees.

A very disappointing performance from Swindon and with a vist from the Manchester Phoenix just around the corner they need to step up there game or there will be a repeat of tonight's performance.

Matt Foord took a deserved man of the match for the Wildcats.
